We cordially invite you to the ECA training “Assessing the Quality of Internationalisation”, which will take place from 19 to 20 December 2023 at the HCERES, Higher Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education, 2 rue Albert Einstein, 75013 Paris, France.
ABOUT THE TRAINING:
Internationalisation is a complex phenomenon and is strongly influenced by the context in which it takes places. As a multidimensional concept, the realisation of internationalisation widely varies in different higher education settings. This means the context and the varied ways in which it is operationalised need to be taken into account when assessing internationalisation. This also means that members of the panel undertaking the assessment are specifically trained for the assessment of internationalisation.
This training suitably prepares participants for the assessment of the quality of internationalisation in the framework of the ECA Certificate for Quality in Internationalisation (CeQuInt). It includes the contextual approach of internationalisation, the use of audit techniques and the interpretation and substantiation of assessment criteria. Self-evaluation reports and the Framework for the Assessment of Quality in Internationalisation are used to highlight different interpretations of (the use of) standards and underlying substantiations.
FEES AND REGISTRATION:
Participation in this training costs 450 euro. The fee for ECA members (i.e. staff from QA agencies that are members of ECA) is 250 euro. The training fee covers the costs of the training and venue, dinner, and light lunches. The fee does not cover any travel costs or accommodation.

After receiving your e‐mail, we will let you know whether it is still possible to participate in the training. If we cannot offer you a place this time your name will be recorded on a waiting list and you will have priority when the training is organised again.
