New Training: European Higher Education for Entry-Level Quality Assurance Professionals

We extend our warm invitation to the upcoming ECA training “European Higher Education for Entry-Level Quality Assurance Professionals”, scheduled from 4th to 5th of June 2024, in Malta, hosted by our member MFHEA, Malta Further and Higher Education Authority.

The landscape of higher education is an everchanging and dynamic sphere that affects many people across the world. Quality assurance (QA) in higher education has a vital role in ensuring that laws, regulations and quality standards are upheld. A QA professional should ideally have knowledge of not only their own national system of quality assurance but also the workings of cross-border organisations and the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG). ECA acknowledges the complexities of such a vast network of various systems and the potential challenges in gaining an overview of QA in the EHEA. This training offers entry-level QA professionals an introduction to how various European HE stakeholders are involved in accreditation and external quality assurance, recognition of qualifications, and internationalisation of higher education.

Participation in this training costs 450 euro. The fee for ECA members (i.e. staff from QA agencies that are members of ECA) is 250 euro. The training fee covers the costs of the training and venue, dinner, and light lunches. The fee does not cover any travel costs or accommodation.

Registration is required by 20th of May 2024 through writing an e‐mail with your name and organisation to

After receiving your e‐mail, we will let you know whether it is still possible to participate in the training. If we cannot offer you a place this time your name will be recorded on a waiting list, and you will have priority when the training is organised again.
