The Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency is glad to inform you of the publication of the new Degree Courses at Universities in Catalonia (EUC) web portal, a search engine that provides information on the quality of recognised Bachelor and Master’s degree courses at universities in Catalonia. Developed in conjunction with the Government of Catalonia’s Secretariat for Universities and Research and all the universities in Catalonia, the aim of the new EUC portal is to present the quality of degree programmes in a way that is easy to understand for all stakeholders, including school counsellors in secondary education, prospective university students and their families.
The EUC portal, which is also accessible on mobile devices, is organised according to different sections, the main one being the search engine itself that can be used to make an open search by entering the name of a particular degree course, together with the possibility of making a closed search according to the programme (Bachelor and Master’s), branch of study or university. The entry for each degree programme gives a description of the course, the latest quality assurance reports that have been published, together with the corresponding certificates and quality label and the results for each of the items evaluated, and the main indicators for each course, as follows:
- Admissions and enrolment, which amongst other things includes data on new entry students and the total number of students enrolled according to gender, admission grades, along with the percentage of places filled and enrolled students according to admission pathway.
- Programme delivery, which includes data on the credit completion rate and first year drop-out rate, student enrolment according to gender based on information from previous academic years, the mean number of enrolled credits per student and the number of students studying outside their own country (international mobility) according to the country of destination.
- Graduate employment outcomes, which offers data such as the graduate employment rate, the percentage of graduates who would take the same degree again, the percentage of graduates working in a job connected with the degree they studied at university, the gross monthly salary of graduates and the time taken by graduates to find their first job.
