Higher Education in a European Context: An introduction to Quality Assurance on an International level Training

You are cordially invited to the ECA Training “Higher Education in a European Context: An introduction to Quality Assurance on an International level” which will take place on 3 and 4 June 2026 in Stockholm, Sweden, hosted by our member UKA – Swedish Higher Education Authority (Box 6024, SE-121 06 JOHANNESHOV, Sweden).

The landscape of higher education is an everchanging and dynamic sphere that affects many people across the world. Quality assurance (QA) in higher education has a vital role in ensuring that laws, regulations and quality standards are upheld. A QA professional should ideally have knowledge of not only their own national system of quality assurance but also the workings of other national organisations, cross-border organisations and the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG). ECA acknowledges the complexities of such a vast network of various systems and the potential challenges in gaining an overview of QA in Higher education in Europe. This training offers QA professionals an introduction to how various European Higher Education actors are involved in shaping quality assurance.

The participants will be able:

  • To gain a general understanding of quality assurance of Higher Education in a European context
