Higher education

The term 'higher education' refers to all types of education provided at the post secondary level which are recognized by the relevant authorities [...] as belonging to its higher education system. Generally, higher education in the European Higher Education Area is education part of or leading to a degree awarded by a programme linked to the first (e.g. Bachelor), second (e.g. Master) or third (e.g. Doctorate) cycle of the Framework for Qualifications of the European Higher Education Area.
