The ECA Board has co-opted Ann Verreth (NVAO) as Board member. The vacancy emerged after the retirement of Lucien Bollaert. Ann Verreth was appointed as Vice-Chair of NVAO in January 2016. She was previously deputy chief of staff and chief of staff of ministerial cabinets in Flanders. From 2007 to 2009 she was Secretary-General of the association of Flemish university colleges (VLHORA). Ann Verreth was involved in QA and HE issues, and in applied research. She studied Political Sciences at the University of Leuven.
